Speak Up: Georgetown airport’s main runway to be examined

Posted

The main runway at the county-owned Delaware Coastal Airport will undergo assessment following signs of concrete crumbling and surface anomalies. Following a presentation by assistant county engineer Mark Parker on Tuesday, County Council granted approval for Delta Airport Consultants Inc. to perform a full examination of Runway 4-22. The cost is not to exceed $125,000.
