Anti-abortion advocates marched in the Dignity Walk here Wednesday, an annual event marking the anniversary of state legislation that legalized abortion in Delaware. The Dignity Walk targets Senate Bill 5, enacted in 2017, which “permits the termination of a pregnancy prior to viability, to protect the life or health of the mother, or in the event of serious fetal anomaly.”
- I strongly support the right of Mr. Jordan, Mr. Warfel and Mr. Warfel’s father — the only three people interviewed in this article — not to have an abortion, if that is what is right for them. I’m glad to live in a state that acknowledges that women have the right to make that choice for themselves, rather than being forced to give birth regardless of their own circumstances and convictions because of the religious convictions of others. — Chris Polo
