Speak Up: Did Coach Bossard help you improve your game?

Posted

A familiar face in regional college football coaching is being mourned. Delaware State offensive coordinator Bryan Bossard passed away recently. A standout Dover High athlete, he also made his mark at Delaware State, the University of Delaware, the University of Maryland and Army, among others. What are your memories of Coach Bossard?

  • When I moved to Dover in 1974 at the age of 9, Bryan knocked on my door one day and asked me if I wanted to come out and play. We instantly became great friends, and he taught me my greatest life lesson I’ve ever learned, that skin color means nothing. — Rick Reed
  • Well said. Loved it when we all played Little League together. Sure do miss those days. — Bobby Brooks

  • All of the Democrats replaced with Republicans. — Mark Schmalhofer
  • Public transportation in lower Sussex. — Colleen Mooney
