DOVER — A shots-fired incident outside of the Kent County Family Courthouse is under investigation, authorities said Wednesday.
According to Delaware Capitol Police spokesman Arshon Howard, no injuries were reported and there were no known threats to the public Wednesday.
Mr. Howard said that at approximately 9 a.m., an individual in the vicinity of the courthouse on Court Street was targeted by a single gunshot, which struck the building. Police say they identified the suspect Wednesday but offered no further explanation.
Kent County Family Court operations were not impacted, Mr. Howard said.
