DOVER — Multiple shell casings were found after Dover police responded to a shots-fired call in Schutte Park on Saturday, authorities said.
Officers arrived at approximately 7:08 p.m. and saw a large crowd dispersing, spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said. Police determined that the shots had been fired beforehand.
A vehicle was found to be damaged by gunfire, Sgt. Hoffman said, but no injuries were reported.
Police asked anyone with information to call 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or here; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
