DOVER - Shirley Joyce Watson died on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 in her home. Shirley was born on Aug. 31, 1935 in Coral, Mich. to the late Norman D. and Jessie B. Boomer Gage. She graduated from Howard City High School in 1953. She married Richard Krebel and had two sons whom she loved very much. The Air force brought her and her family to Delaware. She was a stay at home mom for several years and after raising her children, Shirley began working as nursing assistant. She worked at Green Meadows and Crescent Farms Nursing Home in Dover. She loved caring for people and took great pride in her work. She married her second husband, Milton Watson in 1981. Shirley loved her family and especially loved her grandchildren. She always made sure that the holidays were extra special for the family. Shirley was a caring and giving person, willing to sacrifice to make sure others were taken care of. She loved doing ceramics for her friends and family. She also loved butterflies. Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Gage and Calvin Gage; and sister, Arlene Powell all of Mich; and her second husband Milt. She is survived by one sister, Norma Walter of Mich. and two sons, Richard Krebel and his wife Suzanne of Md., and Robert Krebel and his fiance Dorothy Seeney of Del; six grandchildren, Dawn Krebel, Gina Nitsch and her husband Mike, Courtney Gerardi, Harley Seeney, Ashlee Krebel and Kristine Powers; four great-grandchildren, Travis Miller, Blake Gerardi and Chase Nitsch and Delana Krebel. Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus St., Dover, Del. Funeral services will be at noon in the funeral home and burial will take place at Sharon Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Honor, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donation to Walter Fox Post , American Legion or to Delaware Hospice 911 South Dupont Highway, Dover, Delaware 19901.
