DOVER - Shirley B. Bowles of Dover passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Shirley was born Mar. 5, 1935 in Chester, Pa. to the late Donald and Hannah Bullard. She worked many years as a nurse's aid retiring in the 1990's from Smyrna Home and Hospital. Shirley enjoyed traveling, cooking, and collecting many cookbooks. She loved keeping connected with friends and family on the computer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Caitlin A. Dunbar. She is survived by her sons, Alex Dunbar and his wife Marty, James Dunbar all of Maryland; daughter, Michele Bowles of Delaware; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of close friends.
