MILFORD - Shelton L. Lewis passed from this life Oct. 29, 2012 at Kent General Hospital. Shelton was born June 22, 1958 to Felton and Lear Lewis. He graduated from the Cape Henlopen School District in 1976 and enlisted in the United States Army until his honorable discharge on February 1st, 1983. He often spoke about his favorite station which was Stuttgart, Germany. By trade, was employed as a short order cook at the Wharf Restaurant, Delaware State University, and the Stockley Center prior to his illness. Shelton's life may seem too short to many; however, the many family and friends touched by him understood the quality of his existence far exceeded the quantity of time one may live. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being active in church, fishing, and sports. He was a member of New Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ in Millsboro, Delaware where he served as a Trustee. He is survived by his parents, Felton and Lear Lewis of Milton, Del.; sisters, Belinda Waples (Edward )of Milton and Patricia Lewis (Ricky) of Lewes, Del.; brothers, Donald Lewis of Stephen City, Va., Ronald Lewis, David Lewis, of Milton, Elton Lewis of Alexandria, Va., and Anthony Lewis (Christine) of Germantown, Md.; aunts; uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the New Holy Trinity C.O.G.I.C. Church, 29507 1ST Street, Millsboro, DE and there will be a one hour visitation prior to service starting. Interment will be held at Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.
