DOVER - Shelagh Fairess died Monday Oct. 15, 2012 at home. Mrs. Fairess was born Oct. 30, 1936 in England to the late Frank and Elizabeth Fordham She had worked at the Iron Gate Restaurant for many years retiring in 1998 at the age of 62. Mrs. Fairess enjoyed cross word puzzles and watching soap operas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Fairess Aug. 20, 2002; and son, David Fairess Feb. 4, 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Fairess of Dover; a brother; and two sisters all of England. Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
