DOVER - Sharon L. Horsey passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born April 1, 1953 in Milford, the daughter of the late Ralph and Chadda Hall. She was a 1971 graduate of Milford High School and a 1973 graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown. Sharon started her career at Del Tech Terry Campus as an Administrative Assistant. In 1985, she started working in the family business, Parkview RV, in which she took great pride in. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna. Sharon enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, visiting Grotto's Pizza, flowers, birds, crabs, and traveling, which included visiting her home in Venice, Fla. She loved the snow and going to her children's and grandchildren's functions. She enjoyed planning big events for her family, friends, and work functions. She was full of empathy and loved everyone, had an open heart. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Rick Horsey; her daughter, Amy West and her husband, Mike of Middletown; her son, Ryan and his wife, Joy of Smyrna; six grandchildren, Mackenzie West, Landon West, Riley Horsey, Paige West, Ramsey Horsey, and Samantha Horsey; her sister, Cindy Collins of Milford; and many other loving family members. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church, located at 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. The committal will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Sharon's memory to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 330, Smyrna, DE 19977.
