Second arrest made in Dover carjacking case

DOVER — A 20-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested in connected with a carjacking last month in June, Delaware State Police said.

Police said the incident occurred June 2 at the Walmart at 36 Jerome Drive. Police said two Black male suspects threatened a Walmart employee with a gun and stole her vehicle. The suspects fled in separate vehicles, police said.

One suspect was later arrested that day. The second suspect, Francisco Lora of Sicklerville, New Jersey, was identified through investigation and extradited from Camden County, New Jersey Monday, police said.

Mr. Lora was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $105,000 cash bond.
