DOVER - Keith Landry, 51, of Dover, was arrested on drug and weapons charges following a search warrant on Monday, authorities said.
Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said investigation began when it was learned that Mr. Landry was in a room at the Capital Inn at 1426 N. DuPont Highway, Police said he was wanted on drug charges.
Officers obtained and executed a search warrant on the room and Mr. Landry was taken into custody without incident. Police listed the time of the incident as 12:33 p.m.
During a search of the room, police said, officers located a loaded .38 special revolver, 10 amphetamine pills, 28 bags of heroin, 2.7 grams of crack cocaine, and 4.7 grams of cocaine.
Mr. Landry was transported to the Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Mr. Landry was charged with possession offenses including firearm during the commission of a felony, firearm by a person prohibited, ammunition by a person prohibited, controlled substance (five counts), and drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $41,500 secured bond.
