Posted

SEAFORD – City of Seaford police early Tuesday morning arrested three Maryland teens in their investigation of a shooting incident at Chandler Heights apartment complex.

Upon arrival at about 1:30 a.m., March 27, Seaford police observed a vehicle quickly leaving in apartment complex and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, Seaford Police Department spokesman Senior Cpl. Eric Chambers said.

Three individuals, identified as Dale Seth Jr., 19; Keiford Copper III, 19; and Ja’Bron Cooper, 18, all of Cambridge were inside of the vehicle along with a loaded semi-automatic handgun, Sr. Cpl. Chambers said. The investigation revealed that the three defendants came to the apartment complex with the intent to break into vehicles when they were confronted, Sr. Cpl. Chambers said.

During the confrontation, one of the three defendants fired a single shot prior to fleeing to their vehicle. No one was struck by gunfire or injured during this incident, Sr. Cpl. Chambers said.

All three defendants were arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Department of Corrections in lieu of $7,500 secured bail each.
