Drug charges result from patrols in Lincoln

LINCOLN — A 41-year-old Seaford man was arrested on drug charges Thursday near an unoccupied property.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Delaware State Police said, patrol troopers saw Eric Davis arrive at an abandoned property in the 22000 block of Neal Road. Troopers then witnessed several alleged drug deals, and Mr. Davis was taken into custody.

During the detention, troopers said they saw drugs in plain view on the center console of his vehicle.

Search warrants for Mr. Davis’ vehicle, the abandoned property and a camper on the property located 26,013 bags containing approximately 182 grams of suspected heroin, 4.13 grams of cocaine, over $1,000 in suspected drug-dealing proceeds and drug paraphernalia items, authorities said.

Mr. Davis was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts). He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $100,000 cash bond.
