DOVER - Sarah "Betty" Donovan died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Christiana Hospital. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Fred B. and Elizabeth Spicer Carey. Mrs. Donovan had worked for over 20 years for the Capital School District where she served as a Cafeteria Manager. She was a faithful member of the Capital City Church of Christ and throughout her life had been a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets. In her quieter moments she enjoyed reading and music. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Fred B. Carey, Jr. Mrs. Donovan leaves her husband, Charles D. Donovan of Dover, along with her three children; Charles D. Donovan, Jr. and wife Valerie of Dover, Gail L. Henderson and husband David of Felton, and Donna Marie Donovan of Dover. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Marlin Schmidt and husband Robert of Dove; three grandchildren, Lisa Ann Geesaman, Sarah Marie Geesaman and Jessica Lynn Geesaman. Also survived by two great- grandchildren; Reagan Eliz Faulkner and Morgan Alexandra Faulkner. Relatives and friends may call starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Capital City Church of Christ, 86 W. Lebanon Rd. (Rt10) in Dover where Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations in her memory to the Capital City Church of Christ. Condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com Life's End Services are by Michael J.
