Sara E. Mummert

MILLSBORO - Sara E. Mummert, of Millsboro, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at home. She was 69. Sara was born in Anderson, N.C., the daughter of the late Frank D. Carter and Mary Lou (Foster) Carter. She was Director of Christian Education and a member of the Harbeson United Methodist Church in Harbeson, as well as a member of the Lafayette Chapter of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, boating, reading and crocheting. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Don Mummert; a daughter, Katherine Hooper and her husband Tracy of Terre Haute, Ind.; and granddaughter, Kirstin Lee Hooper. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in the chapel of Harbeson United Methodist Church, 18647 Harbeson Road, Harbeson, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will be in Harbeson Cemetery, Harbeson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Harbeson U.M. Church, Youth Fund, P.O. Box 45, Harbeson, DE 19951.
