Samuel C. Short

MAGNOLIA - Samuel C. Short passed away Sunday March 8, 2013 at the Delaware Veteran's Home in Milford. Mr. Short was a truck driver for U. L. Harman of Dover and enjoyed wood carving, and playing solitaire. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Short; his mother; father; daughter; and grandson. He is survived by his daughters Mabel Marie Holden of Marydel, Katie Cloves of Daytona, Fla., Peggy Wolfe of Camden, Shirley Holloway of Lincoln; his son Harvey Short of Magnolia; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 11 a.m at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 35 Rising Sun Rd., Camden, DE. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton, DE.
