Gaeta Sr. GEORGETOWN - Samuel Anthony Gaeta Sr., a resident of Georgetown since 2006, formerly of Boyton Beach, Fla., and Yonkers, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at home. He was 98. He was born in Tirbia, Italy, the son of the late Anthony and Antoinina (Grecco) Gaeta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from January 1943 to December 1945. He was a Service Technician for an appliance repair company for 35 years retiring in 1979. He was a member of the St. Michael, the Archangel, Catholic Church in Georgetown and a life member of the V.F.W. Post #10150 in Boynton Beach, Fla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent and Charles Gaeta. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rose M. (Monaco) Gaeta; four children, Mary Ann Oakley of Georgetown, Antoinette Meunier and husband Robert of Virginia, Gerard Gaeta and wife Georgiana of New Jersey, and Samuel Gaeta Jr. and wife Deborah of New York; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 202 Edward St., Georgetown. Visitations will be held Friday, April 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society, P.O.
