Sadie V. Copper Warner, 75
CAMBRIDGE - Sadie V. Copper Warner (Sissy), 75, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Chesapeake Woods Nursing Center in Cambridge.
She was born Dec. 27, 1932, daughter of the late Isaac and Cora Copper of Trappe.
Sadie was married to the late Norman H. Warner Sr.
She was educated in the Talbot County School System. Sadie began her most important education and career when she began studying the Bible and subsequently dedicate her life to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The "Truth" became her way of life. She was an exemplary sister in the Easton congregation until her demise. She enjoyed sharing the truth of the Bible with everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by four daughters: Dorothy Slaughter (Melvin) of Trappe, Laura Mitchell of Greenville, N.C., Shirley Warner of Cambridge and Mable Johnson (Kevin) of Hurlock; five sons, David Warner (Betty) of Hurlock, Mark Warner (Vanessa), Norman Warner Jr. (Sharon) and Daniel Warner, all of Cambridge and Glenn Warner of Easton; five brothers, Isaac Copper and Leroy Copper both of Philadelphia, Pa,, Phillip Copper (Valerie) of Oxford, Michael Copper (Evelyn) of Denton and Mark Copper of Easton); three sisters, Velma Young (Maurice) of Trappe, Corrine Brown of Bethlehem and Maryetta Carter (Leonard) of McDaniel; an aunt, Hattie Jacobs; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Copper of Easton and Mildred Warner of Philadelphia, Pa.; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a special cousin and friend, Eugenia Johns and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alonzo Copper; two sisters, Shirley Copper Brooks and Lois Copper Wilson; a son, Ralph Warner; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Leak Warner.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the Kingdom Hall, US 50 & Skipton Landing Road in Skipton. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Henry Funeral Home, PA, 510 Washington St., Cambridge.
