Sachiko Saus

MARYDEL - Sachiko Saus passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Saus was born March 26, 1940 in Shoringai, Manchuria to the late Hajime and Iyo Iwanaga. She worked at Boscovs Department Store in the perfume and jewelry departments. Mrs. Saus was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, Md. and the Modern Maturity Center in Dover as well as dancing with the Cherry Blossom dance group. She enjoyed bowling, painting, playing mahjong, and singing karaoke. Mrs. Saus is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph J. Saus of Marydel; sons, Joseph K. Saus, and his wife Gabrielle Cowan of Annandale, VA; David Saus, his wife Jessica and their daughter Juliette of Dover; and her brother, Keiji Iwanaga of Osaka, Japan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 522 Main Street, Marydel, MD. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901 or The Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or Immaculate Conception Church, 522 Main Street, Marydel, MD 21649.
