Ruth Marie Hutson

GREENSBORO, Md. - Ruth Marie Hutson died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 in the Roanoke, Va. hospital. Born January 31, 1938 at Lamar, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Willie A. McKnight and Bertha McGuire McKnight. She was a homemaker and former employee of Campbell's Soup in Maryland and was of the Church of God faith. Ruth loved gardening and children. She was a loving mother, sister and friend to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Medford Hutson; one son, Kenneth Ray Eanes; and step son, John F. Hutson; five brothers, Lawrence McKnight, Raymond McKnight, Dean McKnight, Billy McKnight and James McKnight; and four sisters, Lucille McReynolds, Aretta Ramsey, June Hale, and Betty McKnight. She is survived by two brothers, Donald McKnight of Greenwood, Ind. and William "Sonny" McKnight (Paula) of Williams, Ind.; two sisters, Beverley Carole Mills (Nelson) of Basin, W. Va., and Jane Graham (Mason) of Beartown, W.Va.; step-daughters, Shirley A. Moore-Frazier (Donald) of Woodside, and Patsy J. Shockley, of Clayton; step-sons, Medford Hutson of Oil City, Md., Joseph Hutson (Barbara), or Greensboro, Md., and M. Wayne Hutson (Beverly) of Greensboro, Md.; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in W. Va. at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Additional services will be conducted at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Milton B. Kemp presiding. Visitation hours will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Greensboro cemetery immediately following the service.
