Ruth Etta Knotts, 98
Ruth Etta Knotts of Harrington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was 98.
Born on October 3, 1923, in Centreville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late J. Frederick Walls and A. Jane Walls. Ruth was a farmer's wife who devoted her entire life to her family; they were her whole world. She attended the Milford Senior Center and was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clarence Knotts; her brothers, Calvin, Paul, Orville, William, Robert and Lawrence; and her sister, Florence.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Florence Ann Smith (Mike Welch) of Harrington; granddaughters, Melissa L. Flynn Carter (Larry) of Seaford and Linsey L. Brown-Ingram (Wayne) of Milford and great grandchildren Jesse Little (Alex), Trevor Brown, Bryce Brown, Haley Ingram and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 12-1 p.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ridgely Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
