"Mom Mom" Davis, 79 ARGO'S CORNER - Ruth Elaine "Mom Mom" Davis of Argo's Corner passed away on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Davis was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Holleger) White. She was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1954. Following her training to become a C.N.A., Elaine went to work proudly at Milford Memorial Hospital, working in the Pediatrics Department for 30 years before retiring in 1999. After her retirement, Elaine enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Even after retirement, she had continued to be the loving caregiver, which was truly evident throughout her life. In addition to her parents, her sister Shirley Willey, and a special adopted Uncle Arthur W. Davis preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Samuel F. Davis, Sr.; three sons, Samuel F. Davis, Jr. and his wife Luann, Mark W. Davis and Harry K. Davis; a brother James P. White (Maria); as well as five grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Shawn, Johan, and Shane, and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the caregivers who lovingly cared for Elaine during the 15 years of her illness. A Memorial of Elaine's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at Slaughter Neck Methodist Church, 23221 Argo's Corner Road, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to a Children's Charity of choice. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, Del.
