Ruth E. 'Sissie' Drews, 70

CLAYTON - Ruth E. "Sissie" Drews, 70, of Clayton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Born on Jan. 16, 1939, in Townsend, she was the daughter of the late David J. and Ruth K. (Cahall) Morris. Ruth was a very loving person, always helping others and never thinking of herself. She touched so many lives; everyone loved and thought the world of Ruth. Ruth cherished her children and grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren gave her a hold on life till the Lord called her home. She left this world peacefully to go to heaven with the rest of her loving family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lenus R. Drews; four brothers, Francis Reed, Dwight, George and David "Buddy" Morris; three sisters, Lulabell Jones, Olabell Coppock and Hilda Reinacher. She leaves many wonderful memories to her three children, E. James Bedwell and his companion, MarieAnn Ellingsworth of Kenton, Anna Bedwell of Clayton, and Glendene Younger and her companion, Richard August of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Evonne Bailey, Steven Bailey, Jr., James E. Bedwell, Ashley Bedwell, Stacey Meisinger and her husband, Dan; three great-grandchildren, Trinity R. Scott, Arianna N. Bailey and Jeffrey A. Marker; two sisters, Virginia Crouch and her husband, Calvin of Felton and Phyllis Vincent of Georgia; two brothers, Willard Morris of Kenton and James Morris and his wife, Nadine of Dover; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and they loved her just as much; three very close and loving friends, Margurite Barrett, Sylvia "Lovey" Moore and Patricia Bryant, all of who helped care for her and a dear friend, Jonathan Young. Memorial services will be 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where family and friends may visit from 4 to 5 p.m. Interment will be private. Ruth's family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
