DOVER — In September, aviators from 23 states will come together for a reunion.
In anticipation of his association’s coming reunion in Dover, John Sabanosh presents Joe Startt Jr., president of Kent County Chapter 850 Vietnam Veterans of America, with an original headset from a UH-1, Huey helicopter.
Mr. Sabanosh, who resides in Maryland, served as a crew chief during daily rescue missions across Vietnam more than five decades ago. He will join highly-decorated fellow aviators from 23 states between Sept. 20-26 in Dover who flew under the motto, “No compromise. No rationalization. No hesitation. Fly the mission. Now!” Visit When I Have Your Wounded - YouTube for the Dustoff story.
One of the multiple activities planned is a dinner on Sept. 22 at Dover’s Modern Maturity Center.
A limited number of dinner tickets are available to the public at $40 on a first-come-first-served basis.
Contact Woody Postle at 302-632-5284 or one9marine@gmail.com, for tickets and to order a roast beef or stuffed chicken dinner.
