MILTON - Russell J. Pappas died at Beebe Medical Center Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, Md. and is the son of the late William J. Pappas and Eleanor Joanne (Akin) Thomas. He graduated from Catonsville High School. Mr. Pappas was self employed as a contractor and was gifted in all areas of construction. He is survived by his wife, Kimmie; son, Martin Dudley (Tori); six grandchildren; sister, Theresa Pappas (Michael Martone); nephews, Anthony "Sam" Martone and Nicholas V. Pappas; aunts, Stella Pappas, Aspasia A. Johns and Margaret Sebeck (George); stepmother, JoAnn Pappas and her five children. Funeral services will 1 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012, in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home 609 East Market St. Georgetown, DE 19947 where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for visitation.
