Ruby B. Newman, 86
DOVER, DE - Ruby B. Newman passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 21, 1935, in Dover, Delaware, to the late Orville Morrow and Daisy May Brown Morsello.
Mrs. Newman was an avid animal lover and devoted her time as a wildlife rehabilitator. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed going on long walks in nature with her much loved canine companions by her side, Pooh, and Sammy. Ruby had a green thumb, she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, especially the many rose bushes, some dating back generations in her family. When it came to the end of the day, everyone knew she enjoyed winding down to a good thriller movie.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne I. Newman; and her brothers, George Morrow, and Orville D. Morrow.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her children, Richard Newman (Dawn) of Dover, DE, Michael Newman of Dover, DE, Bobbi Harless of Dover, DE, and Mark Newman of Dover, DE; her grandchildren, Jaime Newman (Jimmy Hever) of Mooresville, NC, Leslie Burnette (George) of Arlington, WA, and Jennifer Carlson (Eric) of Felton, DE; and her great-grandchildren, Brooke Carlson, and Lauren Carlson.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
