HARRINGTON - Roy Daniel Weiss, Sr. passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center. Roy was born in Delaware County, PA the son of the late Joseph and Elva (Dunn) Weiss. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Roy worked as a machinist for Alloy Manufacturing for 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, going to the auction and the challange of fixing things for he was a jack of all trades. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Marion Weiss and his grandson Clifford Weiss, both in 2007, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his children Marion Vinson, Roy D. Weiss, Jr., Max Weiss, Carol Scribner, Ruth Weiss and Rondine Collins; two brothers James Weiss and Robert Weiss; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where a viewing will be held from 1 - 2 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tenn. 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org.
