Gillian Crawford had 30 assists and 10 digs as the St. Thomas More volleyball team downed Sussex Central 3-0 in a nonconference matchup on Saturday.

Jessica Crawford and Logan Hughes added 13 and 10 kills, respectively, as the Ravens moved to 12-1 on the season. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

Boys’ soccer

Sussex Tech 1, Polytech 0: Eliel Gomez scored in the 78th minute to give the Ravens the Henlopen Conference Northern Division victory on Saturday night.

Patrick Short contributed the assist on Gomez’s goal.

Caravel 4, Smyrna 3: The Eagles netted two goals in the second half to tie the game but Caravel scored the game-winner in the 73rd minute.

Dakota Kerr paced Smyrna with a pair of goals while Roman Kolakowski also scored for the Eagles.

College soccer

MEN, Mary Washington 5, Wesley 1: Tanner Yaw made four saves for the Wolverines in net. Sean Bucior earned an assist while Will Mileski netted the team’s only goal of the game. Mileski and Bucior each registered on shot on goal, but those were the only opportunities Wesley was afforded by the stingy Eagles’ defense.

WOMEN, Mary Washington 7, Wesley 0: The Wolverines were outshot 31-3 in the CAC loss.

Sam Brannigan made seven saves in just over 67 minutes, while Amanda Deputy added three saves in the final 23 minutes. Janiah Moore registered the team’s only shot on goal, playing at the top of the formation for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines trailed 3-0 after 45 minutes. Mary Washington did not let up in the second half, piling on four more scores, including three in the final 25 minutes.

College field hockey

Mary Washington 8, Wesley 0: Wesley cycled through three goalies, with Makenzie McIntyre, Sidney Knott, and Sydney Stump each seeing action on the day. Kasey Fry made four defensive saves for the Wolverines, while Morgan Seymour added to her impressive tally with a defensive saves as well, making 20 on the season.

College golf

UD women tied for third: The Blue Hen women’s golf team fired rounds of 308 and 317 on Saturday to end the first round of the Delaware Invitational in a tie for third place.

Harvard leads the 10-team field with a 613 score, Penn sits in second place at 623, and the Blue Hens and Rutgers are tied for third with 625 scores.

Delaware freshman Ariane Klotz carded an 11 over par 72-81-153 on the par 71, 6,008-yard course at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, ending the day tied for third place in the individual standings. Anna Zhou of Harvard holds a four-shot lead with a five over par 75-72-147, her teammate Anne Cheng is second at 79-72-131, and Klotz and Ashleigh Greenham of Rutgers are each six shots back.

Blue Hen senior Vitoria Teixeira is tied for sixth place with a 13 over par 78-77-155, while sophomore Ashley Dingman fired a 14 over par 78-78-156 to end the day tied for 12th place. Grace Chua is tied for 26th place with a 19 over par 80-81-161, while Valentina Mueller carded a 22 over par 80-84-164 to finish Saturday’s action tied for 33rd place.
