Kaila Hindt got her own rebound and pushed in the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute to lift Wesley College to a 1-0 win over Frostburg State in Capital Athletic Conference field hockey on Sunday.

It was the second-straight 1-0 victory for the Wolverines.

After a scoreless 75 minutes where both teams recorded 16 shots, Wesley outshot the Bobcats, 7-0, in the overtime period. Goalie Sidney Knott stopped 10 shots while Natalie Quigley notched a defensive save in the first half in the win.

The Wolverines held a slight 12-11 advantage in penalty corners.

College soccer

Delaware 2, James Madison 0: The Blue Hens ended their season in style with the CAA win.

The Hens (3-6 CAA, 6-10 overall) took the lead for good when senior Andrea Gunderson sent a corner kick to the near post that Olivia Schuck was able to slip past JMU goalie Hannah McShea. The header goal was Schuck’s third of the season.

Delaware doubled its lead in the 74th-minute when Riley Dixon received a through-ball from Dani Kabat. Dixon took one touch in the 16-yard box and fired a shot into the left side of the net. The goal was the freshman’s second goal of the year.

Delaware outshot JMU 18-12.

College volleyball

Delaware 3, Elon 1: The Blue Hens dominated the third and fourth sets as four players posted double-doubles.

Delaware (3-7 CAA, 5-15 overall) won the match by set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-19, 25-17. Elon is 3-7, 14-11.

Brooke Robertson, Maria Bellinger, Courtnie Roberts and Abby Skryd each posted double-doubles. Robertson led the Hens with a career-high 22 kills and posted 10 digs.

Bellinger contribed 12 kills and 16 digs while Roberts earned her third double-double with 13 digs and 32 assists to go with a career-high five kills. Skryd posted 14 assists and 11 digs, marking her third double-double of the year.

MEN, Delaware 0, Charleston 0: The Blue Hens earned their eighth Colonial Athletic Association point Saturday with the tie.

For Delaware (5-5-4, 2-3-2 CAA), Todd Morton made four saves to earn his fifth clean sheet of the season.

Delaware is in seventh place in the CAA, one point behind Elon for the sixth and final postseason spot. The Hens and Phoenix meet next Saturday night in Newark with the Hens needing a win to advance to the CAA Tournament for fifth consecutive season.

College golf

UD’s Dingman medalist: Delaware junior Ashley Dingman earned medalist honors while the Blue Hen women’s golf team finished in second place at the Delaware Invitational.

Dingman carded a four-under par 68 during her final round on the par 72, 6,180-yard course at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, posting a two-shot victory with a two-under par 73-73-68-214. Dingman, who earned her first career individual title, fired the second lowest 54-hole score in Blue Hen history.

Her final round 68 also is tied for the second lowest round in UD history.
