Another double-double from Nicole Enabosi and a season-high 26 points from Erika Brown added up to Delaware’s 71-66 win over Charleston in Colonial Athletic Association women’s basketball on Sunday.
The victory was the third in a row for the Blue Hens (4-3 CAA, 10-8 overall).
Enabosi registered 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor and 7-for-7 from the foul line. The forward added 12 rebounds for her fifth straight game with a double-double while also contributing two assists and a blocked shot in 27 minutes.
Brown went 9-of-12 from the floor, including four three-pointers, to go along with five rebounds.
“It helps tremendously when everyone gets into it and contributes,” said Brown. “We really shared the ball well and as long as we continue to do that, we’ll stay on track.”
In a game that saw six lead changes and five ties, Delaware broke away in the fourth quarter. The Hens went on an 11-2 run and eventually went up by as much as 11 with just over two minutes remaining in regulation.
Enabosi is the first player since Christina Rible to register at least five straight games with a double double. Rible posted five straight as a senior in 2000-01 and tied Lori Howard’s school record with seven during her junior campaign.
