Roundup: Dover ties Archmere in boys’ soccer

Humberto Monasterio’s goal in the 66th minute gave Dover High a 2-2 tie with Archmere in a nonconference boys’ soccer game on Saturday.

The Senators (6-4-2) now own a six-game unbeaten streak.

Jeffrey Martine added a goal and assist for Dover, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.

St. Georges 4, Sussex Academy 0: The Hawks scored twice in each half in downing the Seahawks.

Adam Krim made 10 saves for Sussex Academy, which was outshot, 14-4.

Football

Laurel 17, Indian River 0: The Bulldogs blanked the Indians in a Henlopen South game on Saturday afternoon.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for Laurel (3-4), which was celebrating homecoming.

College soccer

MEN, St. Mary’s 2, Wesley 0: Goalie Jake Price posted three saves for the Wolverines in the CAC loss.

WOMEN, St. Mary’s 4, Wesley 1: Emily Garrett scored the lone goal for the Wolverines in the CAC loss.

Goalie Krista Salvadore made nine saves for Wesley, which was outshot 13-2.
