Camden-Wyoming downed Smyrna-Clayton, 13-0, in the first game of District I’s Pat Knight baseball tournament on Saturday evening.
Camden-Wyoming will take on M.O.T. Sunday at 5 p.m. at Smyrna-Clayton in the three-team, double-elimination tourney.
Mason Sampon and Caleb Dufrense combined to pitch the shutout for C-W while Tabor Johnson (3-for-3), Colin Yoder (2-for-2, 3 runs), Keith Woodland (2 RBI) and Blake LaRoque (double) led the way offensively.
Cam Miller had a single for Smyrna-Clayton, which hosts the loser’s bracket game on Monday at 6 p.m.

Camden-Wyoming/Blue 11, Smyrna-Clayton 0: Camden-Wyoming opened the tourney with a victory as Robert Burris IV (3 runs) and Easton Wilson (1 run) both went 3-for-3 with three RBI.
Kellan Peer added two hits, two RBI and two runs for Camden-Wyoming in a contest that was delayed by rain for an hour at the start. Camden-Wyoming, which also got some big defensive plays from Rhowan Reed and Greyson Voshell, will play M.O.T. on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Felton.
M.O.T. 13, Milford 2: The Middletown-area squad advanced to the semifinals with the win.
Dover-Blue 7, Dover-White 4: Cayden White (2 runs, 1 RBI) and Cane Gray (2 RBI, 2 doubles, 1 run) both went 3-for-3 to pace Dover-Blue to the opening win.
Dover-Blue will take on Camden-Wyoming/Gold today at 5 p.m. in Felton in the semifinals.
Michael Rooney added two hits with a pair of RBI and a run scored for Dover-Blue.
Camden-Wyoming/Gold 18, Felton 4: Austin Manning, Austin Short, Dalton McClements and Cooper Huttie all had four hits for Camden-Wyoming/Gold in the victory on Saturday.
Walt Bowers tournament
Smyrna-Clayton 7, Camden-Wyoming 5: Winning pitcher Peyton Cray struck out eight in five and a third innings in Smyrna-Clayton’s win in the tourney opener.
Smyrna-Clayton will face M.O.T. in the championship game Sunday at 4 p.m. in Harrington.
Smyrna-Clayton was led by Eyeko Gawuah (2 runs, 4 stolen bases), Aidan Sacco (2 RBI, 1 hit), Nick Thomas (1 run, 1 hit), Luke Naylor (1 RBI, 1 hit), Oliver Squier (1 RBI, 1 hit) and Colton Price (1 run). Reliever Chase Koene got the final two outs, with one strikeout.
Pitcher Quade Cummings struck out seven for Camden-Wyoming while Lane Cummings (triple, 2 RBI, 1 run), and Jackye McLamb (reached base twice) also led the way.
American Legion
Post-1 3, Nanticoke Post-6 1: Pat Crawford pitched a two-hitter with no walks and 11 strikeouts in Post 1’s win on Thursday night.
Brandon Widdowson and Gage Lunn had the only hits for the Patriots.

Lynn Deakins Tournament
M.O.T. 20, Camden-Wyoming 5: Middletown won the opener of the best-of-three District I tournament on Saturday.
The two teams will play again Sunday at 5 p.m. in Harrington.
Winning pitcher Macey Lloyd struck out seven for M.O.T. while Chloe Jones had a pair of hits.
