Camden-Wyoming downed Dover, 16-6, to reach the District I finals in Junior League baseball on Sunday night.

C-W, which is now 2-0 in the tourney, will play in the championship game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Dover.

Dover (1-1) will play in the losers’ bracket finals on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The state tournament is also being played in Dover starting on July 21.

Felton-Harrington 11, Smyrna-Clayton 1: Felton-Harrington stayed alive with the victory in the losers’ bracket on Sunday night.

Felton-Harrington will play M.O.T. tonight in Dover. The two teams also played in the tournament opener on Thursday with M.O.T. posting a 10-6 win.

Dover 5, Smyrna-Clayton 1: Dover posted the first-round win on Saturday night as five pitchers combined to throw a three-hitter.

Major League

Milford 19, Camden-Wyoming 7: Layne Smith went 3-for-3 with the RBI to pace Milford’s 13-hit attack on Sunday night.

The victory puts Milford in Tuesday’s winners’ bracket finals, which are slated for 8:30 p.m. at Camden-Wyoming.

Also in Sunday’s win, Mitch Leighty hit a three-run homer, Mason Morris had a two-run shot and Alex Mergner went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.

For C-W, which hosts Smyrna-Clayton today at 8:30 p.m., Alex Rigby and Tristan McCray both hit two-run home runs.

M.O.T. 17, Felton-Harrington 0: Middletown earned its spot in the winners’ bracket finals with the shutout win on Sunday.

Now 2-0 in the tournament, M.O.T. will play Milford on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at Camden-Wyoming.

Felton-Harrington faces Dover today at 6 p.m. at Camden-Wyoming.

Camden-Wyoming 25, Dover 3: In a game played Saturday night, winning pitcher Tate Wisniewski had two hits and scored four runs to pace Camden-Wyoming.

Also leading C-W were Tristan McCray (3-for-5, 4 runs) and D.J. Osterman (2-for-4, home run, 5 runs).

9-10 tournament

M.O.T. 21, Camden-Wyoming 8: Host M.O.T. improved to 2-0 with the victory on Sunday night.

The Middletown squad plays again on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in the winners’ bracket finals.

Pacing M.O.T. were Travis Peden (4-for-4, 2-run homer, 5 RBI, 4 runs), Shaun McDonald (4-for-5, 3 RBI, 4 runs), T.J. Hastings (4-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs) and Zach Pompeo (3-for-5, 3 RBI, 3 runs).

Milford 17, Dover 8: Milford posted the opening-round victory in a game played on Saturday night.

Pitcher Matthew Winklebach earned the win with Garrett Simpson (4-for-5, 3 runs, 2 RBI), Josh Miller (3-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Noah Kent (2-for-2, 3 runs, 1 RBI) and Ryan Zimmerman (2-for-3) leading Milford’s offense.

For Dover, which plays again today at 6 p.m. at M.O.T., Hunter Tenders had a pair of doubles with three runs scored with Brandon Yoder adding two hits and scoring a run.

American Legion

Fox Post-2 4, Stahl Post 3: Joey Haass singled home Quintin Ivy in the bottom of the eighth as Fox Post 2 pulled out the victory on Sunday.

Both squads scored runs in the seventh with Fox Post 2 tying the game when Cam Turner scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the inning,

Haass pitched the first five innings, striking out eight and allowing just one hit, before Garrett Lawson struck out five over the last three innings to earn the win.

Softball

9-10 tournament

Camden-Wyoming 5, M.O.T. 0: Winning pitcher Peyton Shields had 18 strikeouts as Camden-Wyoming reached the District I winners’ bracket finals on Sunday night.

C-W (1-0) will face Felton-Harrington on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in Dover.

Also for Camden-Wyoming, Sydney Hatch had a double and scored twice, Kaitlyn Horton scored two runs and Lauren Dickerson added a triple.

Felton-Harrington 18, Smyrna-Clayton 2: Karis Minner, who struck out six in three innings, and Skylar Copio, who had three strikeouts in one inning, combined for a one-hitter in Felton-Harrington’s victory.

Felton-Harrington (2-0) advances to the winners’ bracket finals where it will play again on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in Dover.

Leading Felton-Harrington offensively were MacKenzie Mitchell (2-for-2, 3 runs, 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI), Minner (2 runs, 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases), Chloe Revelle (4 runs, 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases), Breanne Benton (2 runs, 1 RBI), Jordan Hand (2 runs, 2 stolen bases) and Maddie Hurd (2 runs).

For Smyrna-Clayton, pitcher Skylar Berge had four strikeouts in two innings and homered while Mary Watts struck out three and Anna Richardson scored a run. Smyrna-Clayton faces Milford today at 8:30 p.m. in Dover.
