Camden-Wyoming bounced back with a 10-7 victory over Pennsylvania to stay alive in the Junior League baseball Eastern Regional on Monday afternoon.

The Delaware state champions now have to win a pair of games today to reach the finals of the tournement being played in Freehold, N.J.

Camden-Wyoming (2-1) faces New York (3-1) at 4 p.m. with the winner of that contest playing again at 7 p.m. Whichever losers’ bracket team is still alive after today will play in the East championship game on Wednesday morning.

The Junior League World Series is played in Taylor, Mich.

One day after a 12-run loss to New Jersey, Camden-Wyoming scored the final four runs of the game to beat Pennsylvania. Christopher Friend had three of Camden-Wyoming’s nine hits while Nathan Bailey drove in a pair of runs.

Pitcher Nathan Jopp struck out five in five innings.

New York 1, Milton 0: Delaware state champion Milton started the Mid-Atlantic Regional with a tough loss in Bristol, Conn. on Monday afternoon.

New York (2-0) scored the game’s only run in the bottom of the sixth inning for the walk-off win.

Milton has to turn around and face Maryland (0-1) today at 10 a.m. in the six-team tournament.

Ryan Horlost’s one-out homerun to left gave New York the victory in a game in which both teams had only two hits apiece.

Winning pitcher Michael Mancini struck out 10 with only two walks for New York. Milton starting pitcher Tyler Husbands struck out nine, allowed only one hit and walked two in his five shutout innings.

After Hunter Rauch walked, Chase Boyle doubled with two outs in the top of the sixth for Milton. But Rauch was thrown out at home on the play.

Malikye Wells added the other hit for Milton, which is playing in the regional for the first time. Milton is trying to become only the third Delaware squad to reach the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Dover holding Fall Ball registration: Dover Little League is holding registration for its Fall Ball baseball and softball seasons.

Players ages 5-16 from Dover, Camden-Wyoming, Marydel-Hartly, Smyrna and Felton-Harrington are eligible to play.

The registration fee is $50 per player. Online registration is available at www.doverll.com or in person at Dover Little League on Aug. 10 and 17 (6– 8 p.m.) and on Aug. 13 (1–3 p.m,). A birth certificate is required.
