The Delaware field hockey team dropped three spots to No. 6 in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Coaches poll.

Delaware (3-1), which was slotted No. 3 in the preseason poll, had a 20-game winning streak with a 3-1 loss to No. 9 Louisville on Aug. 27.

Duke (3-0) rose one spot to take the No. 1 ranking with 23 first-place votes and 932 points.

The Blue Hens return to the turf with a 3:30 p.m. contest at Penn on Friday and follow with a 1 p.m. matchup at Liberty on Sunday.

Pair of Hens honored: Delaware junior Greta Nauck brought home Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week accolades for the fourth time in her career while freshman Femke Strien picked up her first Rookie of the Week award.

Nauck tallied four goals in two games and moved into fourth all-time in the Delaware record books with 49 career goals. She also moved into a tie for fifth in program history with 115 career points.

Strien collected her first career goal Friday and followed with a goal and assist Sunday.

College volleyball

Wesley goes 2-2 on trip: The Wesley College volleyball team split four matches at the Puerto Rico Clasico in San Juan, Puerto Rico over Labor Day weekend.

The Wolverines dropped their first two matches of the tournament on Saturday, losing to Lasell (19-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22, 12-15) before falling in three sets to the Dickinson (19-25, 21-25, 18-25).

Jessica Tynes and Lindsay Burg both collected double-doubles in the match against Lasell. Tynes led the Wolverines with 11 kills and added 13 digs. Burg dished out 14 assists and dug out 12 attacks.

Tionne Graves-Brown had seven kills and 13 digs while Caelli Clifford paced the Wolverine defense with 30 digs. Courtney Olson chipped in with 10 assists.

Clifford led the Wolverines against Dickinson with 16 digs.

The Wolverines avenged their two losses on Saturday with two wins on Sunday. The Wolverines beat Widener in three sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-13) and Wilkes in four (25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15).

Graves-Brown had another double-double for the Wolverines against Widener. She recorded 12 kills with 11 digs and three aces.

Tynes chipped in with six kills while Clifford dug out 13 Widener attacks.

Four Wolverines tallied eight or more kills against Wilkes. Graves-Brown and Codi Ziolkowski each notched double-digit kills. Graves-Brown recorded a game-high 14 kills with 17 digs for her second double-double of the day while Ziolkowski registered 11 kills and three blocks. Olson added nine kills while Tynes collected eight kills, eight digs and two service aces.

Burg also picked up a double-double for the Wolverines against Wilkes. She handed out 22 assists while digging out 10 attacks.
