Roual William Cooke

DOVER - Roual William Cooke, died Friday Sept. 7, 2012 in Elsmere VA Medical Center. Mr. Cooke was born Feb. 21, 1917 in Damascus, Oregon to the late William Walker Cooke and Rose Hattie Bowerman Cooke.  He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years retiring in 1967. Mr. Cooke went to work for General Foods in the Cafeteria retiring at the age of 61. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Emi Cooke in 2008.  He is survived by his children, Marie E. Glasco of Dover, William W. Cooke of Dover and Robert J. Cooke of Warren, Mich.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday Sept. 15, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m.. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.  Letters of condolence may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
