The Milford Public Library greatly appreciates the community’s participation in its annual Christmas Tree Extravaganza. With the support of the participating businesses, sponsors and individuals, the library presented a local Milford resident a check for $1,900. These funds will be used to offset expenses associated with a long-term cancer battle.
The library would like to thank dolcé Bakery and Coffee Shop and Richard Y. Johnson & Son Inc. for their financial support and sponsorship. We hope our Milford community members will support their businesses with the same enthusiasm they exhibit when supporting our residents.
The library is also grateful for the Milford Garden Club, The Bay Country Figure Skating Club, Cub Scout Pack 186, Fortunata’s Bakery and the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club for decorating trees. For the second year in a row, the garden club was the crowd favorite, with its tree generating the most donations.
The Milford Public Library’s staff, board of directors and Friends group extend thanks for the community support.
