CRISFIELD - Rose Ann Hinman, 75 died Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home.
Born March 7, 1943 in Crisfield, she was a daughter of the late Mac and Elsie Clark.
She was a retired Correctional Supply Officer at Eastern Correctional Institution, and in her earlier years was manager of the former Tut Lawson's Store for many years.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Crisfield where she sang in the choir and was Native American Liaison. She was also a member of the Maryland State recognized Accohannock Indian Tribe.
She enjoyed helping with the Immanuel Church Food Pantry, taking Judo lessons while employed at ECI, and shopping with her sister, Patsy and Elsie Jane (The Golden Girls). Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with all her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Michael J. Hinman of Crisfield; two sons, Alan Hinman and wife Karen, and Danny Hinman, all of Crisfield; siblings, Patsy Mears of Pocomoke, Bobbi Jean Somers of Crisfield, Larry Hickman and wife Sandy of Westover, Louis Hickman and wife Jeannie of Crisfield, David Rayne of Powellville, Phillip Wilkins of Brunswick, ME, and Bonnie Brittingham Bunting of Pocomoke; eight grandchildren, Amber Bramble and husband Jason, Brittani Fink and husband Keith, Elle Hinman, Quinton Hinman, Jake Hinman, Travis Hinman, Danny Hinman, Jr., and Lauren Hill; five great-grandchildren; her special friends, Margaret Dize, Dollie Ann Harrison, Marlene Owens and Sandy Tyler; and two "adopted" sons that were very special to her, Timmy Collins and Joe James.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby son, Mark Douglas Hinman in 1964; and two sisters, Elsie Marie Hall and Linda Faye Walston.
Funeral services at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home were Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. where a visitation was one hour prior. The Reverends Bob Daniels and Charles "Chuck" Jacobson officiated. Interment followed at Crisfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
