Ronald E. Adkins

SALISBURY -- Ronald Edward Adkins, 79, of Salisbury, died Monday, May 2, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was the son of the late Alvin and Ivadell Adkins, and the husband of the late Doris Adkins. After graduating from Delmar High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1961. He worked for Campbell Soup as a production supervisor until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Moose 954 and the Elks Club 817. He is survived by his two daughters, Laurie Adkins and Sue Bohler; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Barry Adkins and Buddy Adkins; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Ronald Adkins. A graveside memorial service was held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Mardela Memorial Cemetery in Mardela Springs. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
