Romie B. Coleman III

KENTON - Romie B. Coleman III passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Kent General Hospital/Bayhealth in Dover. Born on Feb. 20, 1937 in Townsend, Del., he was the son of the late Ella Mae (Porter) and Romie B. Coleman, Jr. Romie worked with Chrysler Corporation in Newark, Del. for 30 years as an inspector. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church in Millington, Md.; the Camden-Wyoming Loyal Order of the Moose and the Silver Lake Tavern Fishing Club. In addition to his parents, Romie was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard R. "Sonny" Coleman, Sr. and Leroy Coleman; and two sisters, Goldie Collins and Mary Ellen Hogan. He leaves many wonderful memories to his wife of 27 years, Mary (Perkins) Conner Coleman; two children, Rhonda Inman and Romie B. Coleman IV (Joanna); six step-children, Chris (Debbie), Jeff (Vickie), Dale (Kim) and Darlene Conner, Ray Conner, Jr. and Mary Ann Bottomley (Kenny); a brother, George Coleman (Dora); 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and another grandchild expected earlier this year. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Feb. 18 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, where friends may visit two hours prior to services. Interment will follow in Townsend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Wesleyan Church, PO Box 252, Millington, MD 21651-0252.
