HOUSTON - Robert "Bob" Wellington Donovan died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Bay Health Center, Milford, Del. He was born March 16, 1928 son of the late Robert H. Donovan and Anna Harris Donovan. He was a Mason for Gallo Construction prior to retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris A. Callaway Barber; and siblings, Catherine Simpler, Evelyn Cade and Jack Donovan. He was a member of Harrington Senior Center and the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing shuffle board. He was an avid Phillies Fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda Dill Donovan; three children, Joyce Donovan Wix, Robert Donovan II and Terry Zeth Donovan; three step-children, Jack Jones, Barbara Robinson and Mary Ann Moore; one sister, Helen Southard; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Harrington Senior Center 102 Fleming St. Harrington DE 19952 or Houston UM Church 235 Broad St. Houston, DE 19954.
