RIDGELY - Robert W. McNomee died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Memorial Hospital in Easton, Md. Born Sept. 11, 1948, Rob was the son of Clara W. McNomee of Ridgely and the late Richard B. McNomee. He was a 1968 graduate of North Caroline High School. Rob had been in the Power Service at the E.I.Dupont /Invista Nylon plant in Seaford, Del. for 36 years. There, he had also been an active fireman and was on the Hazmat Medical Team for many years. He had a great love of cars and mechanics, but his greater love was for his family. They attended the Greensboro Baptist Church in Greensboro, Md.. In addition to his mother, Rob is survived by his wife, Cheryl C. McNomee of Ridgely; a daughter, Jennifer Abbey and her husband James of Salisbury, Md.; a son, Robert W. McNomee, Jr. of Ridgely; a grandson, Christopher (L. J.) Abbey; a niece, Kim Willard; and a nephew, Michael McNomee, and their families. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, James G. McNomee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. before the service. The interment will be in the Ridgely Cemetery. The family suggests for friends to send memorial donations to the Caroline Center, PO Box 460, Ridgely, MD 21660 or to the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 425, Ridgely, MD 21660.
