MILLSBORO - Robert Leroy Dorman, III (known to most as "Robbie") had his life cut too short by an irresponsible driver on Aug. 5, 2013 as he was waiting to make a turn on his motorcycle. He was born on Mar. 15, 1974 in El Paso, Texas to his proud parents, Robert L., Jr. and Kimberly Denise Johnson Dorman. He was a much loved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He had a kind disposition. He was noted for his treatment of waitstaff, store clerks and other workers or laborers, always having time for a smile, or a word of encouragement. He helped anyone, any time. He was a regular at Wawa who enjoyed Indian artifact hunting, "four wheeling" and he loved animals of all kinds. He was employed at Pep Up in Georgetown, as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion, Ashley Marshall; and his daughter, Amanda Nichole Dorman, of Millsboro; and his step-son, Skyler Ray Dorman, also of Millsboro. He is also survived by his siblings, Harvey Dorman, and his companion, Mandy Wroten, of Mardella Springs, Dustin White, and wife Dana, of Delmar, Md. Also surviving are his paternal uncles, Charlie Dorman, and wife, Gail of Dagsboro (Charlie also being one of his best friends); Dawn Dorman, of Dagsboro; Darrell Dorman, of Millsboro; and paternal aunt, Donna Truitt, of Millsboro. His maternal aunts and uncles are, Debbie Willey, and husband George, of Lewes, and Wendy Jatot, and husband, John, of Wilmington, NC, William Johnson, of Ellendale; and Jennifer Johnson, also of Ellendale. (Another uncle, David A. Johnson, preceded him in 2012.) Robbie has many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends around the region, and he his special friends are Greg Lynch, Les Nichols, and Henry Docken. Robbie was noted to love animals of all kinds, and had a special feline friend, "Sebastian." A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held at Watson Funeral Home on Sat., Aug. 10, 2013 at 1 p.m., where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for calling hours and visitation with his family.
