
FELTON - Robert James Nored, Sr. was born May 25, 1932 in Blythe, Calif., to Perry Monroe and Marjorie Estella (Robinson) Nored. He passed from this life Jan. 23, 2013, in Moyers, Okla., at the age of 80. Bob served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Houtman on Oct. 29, 1955, in Milford, Del., and together they raised five children in Felton, Del. Bob was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood carving, coaching softball and baseball, and being part of the Moyers annual 4th of July fireworks show. He was proud to be a member of the Sunshine Boys, whom Gretchen Frederick always mentioned in the Moyers News. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Stella Nored; and brother-in-law, Oren "Beans" Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Moyers, Okla.; children, Robert Nored, Jr. and wife Sandi, of Felton, Angela Valeski and husband Scott, of Magnolia, Joseph Nored and wife Christina, of Newport News, Va., Terri Wright and husband William, of Magnolia, and John Nored of San Fransisco, Calif.; grandchildren, Emily, Jonathon, Jessica, and Sara; great-grandchild, Mattox; brothers, Jerry Nored and wife Phyllis, of Moyers, Okla., and Hal Nored of Moyers, Okla.; sisters, Yvonne Johnson of Moyers, Okla., Marjorie Rember and husband Kenneth, of Antlers, Okla., Linda Kellett and husband Dale, of Moyers, Okla., and Judy Hopson and husband Dick, of Centerpoint, Okla.; as well as many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel with Brent Franks officiating. Music will be "On Eagles Wings", "Amazing Grace", "Here I Am Lord", & "Battle Hymn Of The Republic". Honorary Pallbearers include Robert Nored, Jr., Joseph Nored, John Nored, Scott Valeski, Bill Wright, Jonathon Wright, Jerry Nored, Hal Nored, Jessie Morgan, Alford Nabors, Merle Duncan, Mike Brittingham, and Joe Hill.
