Godwin, 73 MILFORD - Robert E. "Bobby" Godwin passed away on Sat., Feb. 1, 2014 at home. He was one of ten children of the late Horace L. and Margaret C. Godwin. Bobby lived in Milford for 14 years with two of his dear friends. One passed away two years ago. He loved to finger paint and has many paintings hanging throughout his home. He also loved animals. He was a member of the Dover Chapter of the Aktion Club and participated in giving back to the community. He attended Easter Seals in Millsboro for 10 years, when he retired he began attending Milford Senior Center. Two years ago he decided he was old enough to just stay at home. Bobby became sick and began hospice services 7 months ago to help the Chimes staff. Two months ago he had Imterim Services come to the house to help Chimes staff care for Bobby. He is survived by his brother, Walter J. Godwin of Georgetown and sister, Flora K. Godwin of Millsboro; Bobby will be greatly missed by Ms. Victoria Tingle who has been with Bobby since he moved to Milford 14 years ago, his Milford staff who diligently took care of him in his final days, his roommates Jamie and Phyllis and of course all of his Chimes Family. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
