Benson, 70 FELTON - Robert "Bob" Alan Benson went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Benson was born June 11, 1942 in New Mexico to the late Alan Benson and Nadine Boyle Benson. He started his career in food distribution and warehousing. Mr. Benson then went to work for Delaware Manufacturing Alliance as a field agent and most recently was a self employed tax preparer. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Dover. Mr. Benson was also a member of the Lafayette Lodge in Wilmington; he was 33 Degree Mason and active member of several affiliate bodies. Mr. Benson is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Judith Benson of Felton; children and step-children, Laura Edwards and her husband Timothy of Hamburg, Pa., Brian Benson of Fort Payne, Ala., Kelly Walker and her husband Steve of Brandon, Fla., Don Wills and his wife Tina of Felton, Robin Scott and her husband Andrew of Wilmington, Del., Erin Jones and her husband Matt of Brandon, Fla.; grandchildren, Mark and Erin Gold, Aubrey, Karren, Ashley and Sarah Anne Benson, T.J. Taylor, Jimmy, Michael and Patrick Wills, Skylar and Shaelyn Scott, Justin Wills, and Jaycee Ellis; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Southside Baptist Church, 4904 S. Dupont Highway, Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Barretts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
