
CAMDEN - Rita E. Bryant passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Kent General Hospital.
Rita was born June 10, 1950, in Greensboro, Md.
She retired in 2004 from the State of Delaware, where she was Chief Custodian for the Caesar Rodney School District. Rita was a dedicated member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, and held the College of Region Degree and also the Star Recorder Degree, and held all chairs at the Moose. She was also a retired life member of the Camden/Wyoming Volunteer Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary and an active member of the Bowers Beach Auxiliary, as well as volunteering at the Blood Bank of Delaware. Rita enjoyed camping, swimming, bingo and the Christmas holidays. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby brother in 1956.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Gary Bryant, of Camden; children, Dee Perone (significant other, Jason Ludwig), of Felton, Anthony Paul Perone (Stacy), of Midlothian, Va., Paul D. Perone, II (Rachel), of Camden; sisters, Rebecca L. Puglia (Vince), of Oahu, Hawaii, Rosalie Sarver (Stoney), of Townsend, Carla O'Neil, of Camden, and Kimberly Gunter (Gene), of Marydel; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
Memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Bowers Beach Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, 3285 Main Street, Frederica, DE 19946, Attn: Treasurer.
