HURLOCK - Richard P. Harding, 73, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007, at the Mallard Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cambridge.

Mr. Harding was born Sept. 11, 193, in Washington, D.C., son of the late Oliver Harding and Mary Bell Harding.

An Army veteran, he was a graduate of Bowling Green College of Commerce in Bowling Green, Ky. with a degree in business. He worked as an accountant until he retired 14 years ago.

On May 27, 1956, he married the former Julia "Judy" Strader.

Mr. Harding was a member of the Unity Washington United Methodist Church in Hurlock.

He is survived by one son, Mark Harding of Lusby; one daughter, Ann P. Racculia and her husband, Michael of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Aubrey Harding, Kaelan Wade Racculia and Conner Michael Racculia; two brothers, Robert K. Harding of Federalsburg, Dennis M. Harding of Hurlock; one sister, Nancy Lee Rock of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Julia who died on July 19, 2000 and one brother, James O. Harding.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. The Rev. Delmer Willey will officiate.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Harding may be made to a charity of your choice.
