Schroter, 53 KENTON - Richard Joseph Schroter passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del. Mr. Schroter was born July 22, 1959 in Summit, N.J., the son of Walter and Inge Schroter of Dover. He worked as a Mechanic for Dover Auto Repair for the past 11 years. Richard loved hiking and camping with his kids, and was proud of his 1966 Star Chief Executive that he had for 24 years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nadine; a daughter, Jenna Schaeffer, age 30 and her husband Zach of Wilmington, N.C.; a son Jacob Schroter, age 24 of Kenton; a daughter, Jacey Schroter, age 16 of Kenton; a granddaughter, Keeley, age 3; a grandson, Maxon, age 20 months; and his brother, Walt Schroter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Friends are welcome to attend beginning at 10 am.
